Who We Are

Mission Statement

At GigGag, we are comedy fans and performers first, driven by the belief that the stage should belong to everyone. Through an accessible platform, we simplify the sign-up process for comedians of various experience levels. We simplify the stage-access journey; offer comedians from first-timers to seasoned semi-pros an accessible path to discovery. By providing clubs with robust tools to manage listings and direct communication, we foster a transparent, efficient, and vibrant ecosystem for live comedy. We exist to break down the barriers to entry, ensuring that anyone with a voice—regardless of background or experience—has a clear path to the spotlight. Our community is one where comedians show up for one another. We are building a more inclusive, connected, and vibrant community where every punchline has a place.

David | Co-Founder & CEO

David is a coder by day and a comedian by night who knows exactly what it takes to run a room. After founding two London comedy staples (Cuts and Quinntessential Comedy) he realized the logistical side of comedy was broken. Tired of juggling sign-ups across Instagram, Google Forms, and endless email threads just to fill a lineup, Dave decided to build the solution himself. Leveraging his background in software development, he engineered GigGag to eliminate administrative friction, allowing creators to spend less time on spreadsheets and more time building an artistic community where collaboration and friendship come first.

Lily | Co-Founder & COO

A classically trained performer with a BFA in Acting from the University of the Arts, Lily turned to stand-up after growing weary of the traditional "call-back" grind. When the pandemic halted the industry, Lily pivoted to teaching English abroad in Estonia and Portugal, but the struggle to find open mics in new cities remained exhausting. Her journey came full circle at Quinn’s, Dave’s comedy night, where she joined forces with him to ensure that no comedian—regardless of where they are in the world or their career—ever has to struggle just to find a microphone.

A Shared Vision

Together, Dave and Lily have built GigGag to be more than just an app. It is a digital home for the comedy circuit—a place where the technical ease of a veteran coder meets the artistic heart of a professional performer to create a fairer, more accessible stage for everyone.

Our Cultural Pillars

  • By the Community, For the Community

We aren't just a platform; we’re part of the audience and the lineup. We build tools we want to use ourselves.

  • Democratizing the Mic

Accessibility is our baseline. Whether it’s your first time or your thousandth, the process of getting on stage should be simplified and intuitive.

  • Amplifying Every Voice

We are intentionally inclusive, dedicated to bolstering visibility for performers and ensuring the comedy landscape reflects the diversity of the world around us.

  • Radical Support

We don’t just book gigs; we build networks. We encourage a "show up and stay" culture where performers become each other's biggest advocates and collaborators. Stay tuned for our GigGab: Spotlight Series, where we interview comedians (from amateur to professional levels) about their journeys from the circuit to the main stage. Let us know if there are performers you recommend, or perhaps yourself!
